Evanston, Ill., November 19, 2020 – Industrial Opportunity Partners (“IOP”), an operations-focused private equity firm based in Evanston, Ill., today announced that its existing portfolio company Creative Foam Corporation (“Creative Foam”), has acquired the assets of Aetna Felt Corp. (“Aetna” or the “Company”). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Aetna is a converter, fabricator, and distributor of felt and other non-woven material solutions. The Company offers an extensive line of podiatry and foot-care products to medical distributors, hospitals, schools, surgery and health centers, government facilities, and private label markets. In addition, Aetna provides non-woven material products to the industrial, consumer, crafts, and various other end-markets.

Creative Foam, acquired by IOP in 2017, is a manufacturer and supplier of custom-engineered die-cut, formed foam, nonwoven and multi-material component solutions to the transportation, healthcare, and wind-energy markets.
